Stocktake

Stocktakes are all about counting and valuing your stock on hand.  Resort Restaurant makes stocktaking as simple as possible.  The general procedure to complete when performing a stock take is:

Print your stock blank reports.

Count your stock, writing the count into the stock blank forms.

Enter the stocktake into Resort Restaurant from the stock blank forms.

Print the various stock detail and total reports.

Roll the stock ready for the next accounting period.

The following topics cover performing stock takes with Resort Restaurant.

How do I roll my stocktake?

What if I roll my stock when I shouldn't have?

NOTE 1: Some larger establishments might use a separate inventory system to track purchases and stocktakes.  If you are in that position, but you still wish to use Resort Restaurant's reporting facilities, you can create a 'dummy' stocktake for the current accounting period.  Just make sure that the total value of the stock count is the same as that reported by your inventory system and Resort Restaurant will display the correct figures in the Cost of Goods Sold report.
