How do I generate a market list for a function?

To generate a market list for a single function open the function form.  This can be done by one of the following methods:

Click on the button_formfunction  toolbar button        or

Select Forms->Functions from the menu bar        or

Click on the icon_formfunction icon on the left-hand browser pane of your database form.

Select the function you wish to view a market list for from the browser pane of the function form and then click on the Market list tab.

This will display a full market list for the selected function.  If this is the first time that you have selected the Market List tab, the program will break-down the function's component recipes and ingredients into individual ingredients and calculate the required quantity for each ingredient.

Resort Restaurant uses the component ingredient quantities along with the number of covers as entered in the Recipes & costs page of the Function form to calculate the various ingredient quantities for the market list.

NOTE:  If the market list appears with zero quantities, then you haven't yet entered any cover quantities into the Recipes & costs page of the Function form.

You can calculate market lists for all (or selected) functions in a single command by using the Market list generation dialog.  See that topic for more details.
