Resort Bistro Build 630 Release Notes
   
1. Overall major revision to program user interface.  Incremented version from 1.0 to 1.5.
2. Added visual themes (Office 2000, Office XP, Office 2003, Windows XP, Visual Studio 2005).  These themes change the overall look and feel of the program. Select Tools->Visual Themes from the menu to select a theme from the themes sub-menu.
3. Added manifest file to shipped application to enable Windows XP themed control support.
4. Added history tracking toolbar.  This toolbar lists the various items (ingredients, recipes, etc.) visited in a session.  Users can select an item from the history bar drop list to jump back to, or click the Back (hotkey: Alt+Left Arrow) and/or Forward (hotkey: Alt+Right Arrow) buttons to review previously seen items.
5. Added Find dialog (menu: Record->Find, hotkey: Ctrl+F).  This dialog lets users search the entire database for any text.  Program searches in item names, descriptions, notes and method fields.  Dialog can open appropriate forms to show items returned by the search items.
6. Added edit toolbar to various forms.  This toolbar has buttons for creating, copying, deleting, and printing items.  This toolbar can be toggled on and off from the new View menu option. Click the Print... button on these toolbars and popup menus appear listing reports that pertain to the current form.  This is a faster way of launching reports that using the Report Wizard. Menu: View->Edit Toolbar in Forms.
7. Added option to View menu to toggle the main window tabs from top to bottom of screen. Menu: View->MDI Tabs at Top.
8. Added option to show alternate background colours in grids.  This makes viewing rows of data easier.  See new grid colour options in the Grid settings dialog (menu: View->Grid Settings...).
9. Added option to highlight the background colour of product prices when a product's price is used in a menu.
10. Added new 'Start' Page' to program.  The replaces the original MDI main frame client rendering of the same information.  Users can toggle this window on/off form the View->Start Window menu option.
11. Added 'Audit Trail' facility to track user changes to a database.  Audit trails list what changes were made, by whom and when they were made. Changes can be view in the Audit Trail dialog via the Tools->Database->Audit Trail menu option. 
12. Removed the old Workbook mode.  This has basically been permanently enabled.
13. Added facility to 'dock' rollup windows. Rollups can be toggled from floating to docked state via the View->Floating Rollups menu option. When docked, the rollup 'hides' to a tab on the right hand side of the main windows.  Hovering the mouse over or clicking this tab displays the rollup.  Click the 'push-pin' in the top right corner of the docked rollup to hide it.  Behavior of rollups when floating is the same as previous versions.
14. Added retail product highlighting to rollups.  Now all retail ingredients and recipes display with a small red dot in the top left corner of their respective icons in the rollup windows.
15. Program now displays progress bar when inserting a large number of items from a rollup window.
16. Completely re-wrote code to load ingredient costs.  Now loads/saves much faster.
17. Re-wrote some of the menu engineering code to improve performance.  Grid update are now much faster.
18. Improved inter-window communication/updates on item data changes.
19. Added option to most recipe reports to let the user select which recipes are to be printed using the Recipe Filter dialog.
20. Added option to Product Price (single menu) report to list items in menu order.
21. Added notes field to first page of Menu Engineering 2 report.
22. Added food cost percentage, factor and markup to Menu Engineering 2 report.
23. Altered numeric field formatting in some reports to remove trailing zeros.
24. Added option to print recipe reports by store assignment.
25. Added stock code field to market list grid.
26. Fixed bug where browser tree wasn't always being updated immediately after the deletion of a store.
27. Fixed bug in ASCII Import Wizard that caused some ingredient stock codes to be ignored when overwriting existing ingredients.
28. Fixed bug where browser/navigator tree controls weren't initially sized to fill the window when the window wasn't maximized on creation.
29. Fixed bug where incorrect ingredient price record was inserted into a menu on initial insertion.
30. Fixed occasional bug in mise-en-place grid that cause errors when toggling between ingredients and recipes.
31. Fixed bug where pictures were overlaying parts of their respective forms.
32. Fixed intermittent bug in recipe mise-en-place reports.
33. Adjusted vertical alignment of some editable field in some grids. They weren't always lining up vertically.
25. Fixed bug where recipe cost/price grids weren't always updating immediately after cost recalculations.
34. Fixed bug where menu merges weren't always saving correctly.
35. Fixed bug in Category Form where program would occasionally crash when clicking between the various radio buttons.
